Upper East Side Townhouse

An enlargement and gut renovation of a townhouse that had previously been converted to multi-family. The client’s large family presented the challenge of eight bedrooms on the narrow footprint. The design solution included recreating the missing exterior stair and landing to the parlor floor while enhancing the entrance sequence to the lower level providing two linked living floors freeing the upper three floors for bedrooms.
