Madison Avenue Penthouse

This penthouse was originally created by enlarging the partial rooftop service floor of this individual landmark. JCA was retained to enlarge and update the existing penthouse floor while adding a new second story and connecting stairs. The complexity of building on top of this landmark structure drove our decision to fabricate the new floor in three remotely constructed modules which were subsequently boomed above the existing thirteen story building. A new structural platform was integrated into the 1908 building’s framing requiring exacting dimensional accuracies between site built and remote modular construction.
